Dear Colleagues/Students,
We are delighted to extend an invitation to you on behalf of Forman Christian College University (FCCU), Lahore for a 2-day workshop scheduled for October 23rd and 24th, 2023 at FCCU. This technical workshop is focused on the progress of Korean ODA water project entitled “Scientific and sustainable application of groundwater treatment technology for safe drinking water supply in Punjab, Pakistan”, and which is being implemented by FCCU in collaboration with Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and Dankook University (DKU), South Korea.
The primary aim of this workshop is to share with participants the updated data about arsenic contamination in groundwater in Punjab as well as to inaugurate the newly established water analysis center. This state of the art facility which has been established with Korean grant will provide the valuable contribution in understanding the water quality status of Punjab. Knowing your relevance with this field, it is a privilege to invite you to be part of this technical workshop.
Some of the main activities of this workshop will include:
– Inauguration of state of the art “Water Analysis Center” at FCCU
– MOU signing ceremony between FCCU and Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority
– Scientific talks (Pakistani and Korean experts) about Arsenic contamination of groundwater, its health impact and Arsenic treatment technologies
We are strongly convinced that this workshop will provide all of us an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and expertise in the relevant field, with experts from both Pakistan and Korea.
