The MPhil Environmental Sciences is a two year evening program consisting of 2 semesters of
coursework of 30 credit hours followed by 2 semesters of research of 12 credit hours. To be eligible to
undertake the research, a student must achieve a minimum of 2.75 CGPA in the coursework. Current
research themes include research on Life Cycle Assessment, Occupational Health & Safety, Membrane
Biological Reactors, Nanotechnology, Carbon Sequestration, Bioremediation, and Climate Change etc.
For their research work the students have access to laboratories with equipment like AAS, HPLC, GC-
MS, UV-Vis Spectrometer, NMR, Ion Chromatography (IC), CHN Auto Analyzer, Total Organic Carbon
(TOC) Analyzer etc.
