HEC-approved PhD supervisor; over 25 years teaching, research and administration experience. Life Member of Chemical Society of Pakistan.

Teaching Interests: Organic chemistry, Reaction mechanism, organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, natural products and medicinal chemistry.

Research Interests: Natural products, organic synthesis, antioxidant and pharmacological studies; diabetes and obesity.

Research Projects:  PSF funded project: Phytochemical and biotechnology study on chemical constituents of Lagenaria siceraria. HEC funded project: Activity-guided isolation of bioactive compounds from medicinal plant Carissa opaca.

Currently his research group is involved in isolation of natural products from plants, synthesis of Schiff bases of natural compounds, antioxidant and anti-enzymatic activities of natural and synthetic compounds, natural remedies for diabetes and obesity.

Publications: He has published over 70 research papers in peer reviewed indexed journals.
