Dr. Halem has over 46 years of drug regulatory affairs, research, and teaching experience in regulatory agencies and universities in Pakistan. Designed several policies for pharmacy services in Health Care Settings, Skilled in Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy, Drug Regulatory Affairs, preparation of drug formularies for various categories of health facilities at the provincial level. He has been participating in various conferences and research seminars as an invited speaker. He has published several research/review papers in peer-review indexed journals. He is a member of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association, Punjab Pharmacy Council for one term, Pakistan and Association for the Advancement Science. He is serving as an expert member of the Medical Devices Board and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan.

Research Interests:

Synthesis of new drug substances, their characterization, and dosage form design.
