Syed M Saqib, Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication  attended 3rd World Conference on Media and Mass Communication in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, organized by The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) from Thursday 20 April to Saturday 22 April 2017.

Saqib, at this conference, presented his research paper titled “The Impact of Virtual Communities on Cultural Transformation”. The paper has been accepted for publication in conference proceedings; research study was carried out for gauging the impact of virtual communities on cultural transformation of youth in Lahore.

The hosting and academic partners of the conference were, Mustafa Kemal University (MKU), Turkey and Gaziantep University, Turkey respectively. MEDCOM 2017 was chaired by Dr Tulay Atay-Avsar, Asst. Professor, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism, MKU.

Scholars from all over the world including USA, Austria, Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan, Indonesia, Australia, India, Hong Kong, South Korea, Malaysia, Italy, Bahrain, Egypt, Japan, China, UAE, UK, Philippines, Taiwan, Bangladesh, Singapore and Spain presented and shared the latest trends in the field of Media and Mass Communication.
