Shakila Noor Sindhu has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science since August 2003. She served as Chairperson of the Department from 2008 to 2011. She earned her Masters and MPhil degrees in Political Science from Government College University, Lahore. She started her career from the same University as Lecturer in Political Science, and later moved to the Government of Punjab Services for around a year. She is currently a PhD Scholar at Pakistan Study Center – University of the Punjab Lahore. Last month, she presented a paper titled Impact of Inter and Intra Provincial Disparities on Pakistani Federation in the 45th Annual Conference on South Asia in Wisconsin University, Madison-Wisconsin, USA (October 20-23, 2016), and earlier in 2015 she presented her paper Creation of Pakistan in the 2nd International Conference on Education, Social Sciences and Humanities, held in Istanbul-Turkey from 8th to 10th of June 2015. The latter was also published in IJASOS – International e-Journal of Advances in Social Sciences. Her areas of concentration are International Political Economy, Public Opinion and Governance.
