Ms Jacqoline Austin is a Fulbright scholar and is currently working as an Assistant Professor of English Language and Literature at FCCU. She has worked as a senator of graduate council from 2010 to 2011 at the University of Mississippi (USA). She has also been the convener and a representative from English Department (FCCU) for the English language teaching reforms (ELTRs) under HEC. Ms Austin has over 18 years of teaching experience and has presented her work and research at various national and international educational forums including SPELT, International Teachers’ conference (FCCU), Fulbright and Humphrey conference, Humanities symposium (FCCU), Fulbright Prometric Centre FCCU, Seville, Spain, Rhode Island (USA), Harvard University (USA) and Oxford University (UK). Her personal interest is writing poetry and short-plays and she tries to incorporate her academic inspirations into it.
Research interests: Her research interests include intercultural communication, language and gender studies, corpus linguistics, sociolinguistics, pedagogy and teacher training.
