Dr. Saleem Abbas did his Post doctorate from Clemson University USA and studied gender representation in visual media particularly in Pakistani television shows. In his PhD, he analyzed the impact of different political regimes on the rhetoric of TV dramas. He also has a strong predilection towards art and Urdu literature. He has published numerous papers in refereed and non-refereed research journals, two books on research and criticism, and a poetry collection. In the perspective of Pakistani society, he has produced documentaries on female education, bonded labor, religious harmony, and local culture. Having 20 years of teaching experience in different educational institutions of Pakistan and the United States, he is also the founding chair of two Mass Communication departments, i.e., at Forman Christion College, Lahore and Post Graduate College, Bahawalpur.
