University of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. He joined the Department of Chemistry, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, Pakistan as an Assistant Professor in November 2021. His area of research is synthetic organic chemistry & medicinal chemistry. Dr. Umair Tariq received his M.Phil in Organic Chemistry degree from Govt. College University Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2013.

Synthetic organic chemistry, Organocatalysis, C-H activation, Synthesis of Spirocycles, Hypervalent iodine compounds, Synthesis of small molecules, Multicomponent reactions, Heterocyclic synthesis, Click chemistry.
