Dear University Students,
Happy New Year! I hope that you all are safe and healthy. In this message, I am sharing some important information regarding Fall 2020 final exams and the Spring 2021 calendar.
Final Exams: Fall 2020 and Spring 2021
As you know, we are still required to have reduced strength on campus and cannot call all students to campus simultaneously. Thus all undergraduate final exams will be administered online and be open book/open note (except oral exams) for Fall 2020 and Spring 2021. Undergraduate final exams in person are not allowed; only postgraduate exams are allowed to be in person or online per the instructor’s decision.
The Fall 2020 final exam dates are Feb 22 to March 03, 2021. Spring 2021 will begin on Monday, March 8.
Faculty members can design Final Exams in any of the following modes:
- Essay exam
- Paper, project, or video presentation due at the time of the final exam
- Oral exam (viva)
- Multiple choice exam
Your respective instructors will share the details regarding their courses and assessments schedule.
Please note that the end of Fall 2020 is different than previously published. Even IDs come back first as February starts, but only for four days. Odd IDs finish the semester; after finals Even IDs start the Spring 2021 semester. Also, keep in mind that on-campus teaching and exams are still subject to the Government instructions on COVID and might shift online if so decreed.
