Dear Faculty Members,

Greetings to you all!

We trust that you are able to cope well with the ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We continue to be grateful for your extraordinary commitment, professionalism and hard work for the good of our students during remote/online Teaching Spring 2020. I write today to thank you and also to outline our path forward for the Summer semester.

With the ongoing uncertainty regarding the coronavirus pandemic and the rapid increase in the cases, we have carefully reviewed the situation. We are closely following Government and HEC rules and recommendations.  Also, we have sought out advice from health experts in an effort to plan responsibly for the Summer session. While the university continues planning for on-campus instruction this fall, Summer classes that begin on 3rd August will be delivered through remote/online instruction.

I am sure that we all are looking forward to resuming our normal academic operations as soon as possible. However, this decision has been taken in order to fulfill our health and safety obligations. I trust that with this announcement our faculty and students will be able to plan well for effective teaching and learning for this Summer.

Thank you again for all you are doing and take good care of yourselves. These are challenging times. Whatever the situation, we trust that as the FCCU community we will continue to strive for academic excellence and our Summer semester will be better than Spring 2020!

With our prayers and best wishes for your well-being!
