This Office provides services for on-campus events as well as the residential halls’ mess. The Office ensures that the food consumed on campus is healthy and complies with strict and health standards. The University is strongly committed to supporting the health and well-being of all members of the FCCU community by ensuring that healthy food and beverage choices are available in the food service operations. This Office establishes nutrition standards for retail food service and markets, dining commons, vending machines, and University-sponsored meetings and events to ensure accessibility of fresh foods, provide healthier alternatives to sugar-sweetened beverages, and engage in positive communications promoting healthier choices. The Office is responsible for upholding food quality and safety standards by limiting the risk associated with these services to the campus community and its guests. Its managers and key staff are certified in food sanitation, and trained in University policies and procedures.
