The Department of Computer Science is pleased to share that its Undergraduate research is getting recognized internationally. The Senior Project titled Disease and Pest Detection in Rice Crop Using Deep Learning” has resulted in a conference paper presentation at the 12th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI), June 2020. The project was done by  Syeda Airas Burhan, Mohammad Nabeel and Osama Zahid under the supervision of  Assistant Professor, Dr. Sidra Minhas and Assistant Professor, Dr. Amara Tariq with the aim of developing a stable, automatic system which successfully identifies critical issues faced by Rice crop in Pakistan.  The students presented their work virtually in the conference and were applauded upon for the nature of their project and for being the youngest researchers amongst the presenters. At DCS, we equip our students with the skills and credibility to take up challenging tasks from around our societal context and work for the betterment of this country.
