The Faculty of Natural Sciences and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) are proud to announce the Innovation Competition 2019, to be held on the 2nd of May 2019 with significant Prize Money at stake courtesy of ORIC and Certificates of Participation. Prizes: 1st: Rs 10,000, 2nd: Rs 7,000, 3rd: Rs 5,000 and Departmental prizes: 1st Rs 2,000 and 2nd Rs 1,000.
Following the success of a similar competition in 2018, the students are again challenged to develop and present innovative ideas that have a demonstrable benefit to Pakistan.
Keeping in step with the five Departments of the Faculty, we are seeking ideas in the areas of Physics (e.g. electrodynamics, computational techniques, material synthesis etc.), Chemistry (e.g. synthetic chemistry, applied chemistry), Biology (e.g. decease diagnosis, biotech and agricultural science), Pharmacy (e.g. pharmaceutical technologies and clinical pharmacy) and Environmental Sciences (e.g water treatment, soil remediation, climate change, OH&S) or any other novel idea related to Science. The ideas should be presented in the form of a poster display, and if possible accompanied by a 3-D model as well a small abstract of up to 200 words.

Eligibility for participation: BS (Hons) Students majoring in any of the programs offered by the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
