On the 10th of October 2019, the Environmental Sciences and Physics departments in collaboration with the HR Office, FCCU, organized a seminar on Aerosols and Climate Change. This was delivered by Dr. Benjamin Grandey from Singapore. His focus reflected his research efforts over a number of years into the role of Atmospheric Aerosols, particularly Sulphur Dioxide Aerosols on climate. Dr Grandey informed the audience about a major role played by aerosols in many of the uncertainties in the projections of climate change. Dr. Derk Bakker, Chairperson of the Environmental Sciences Department presided over the whole event. A great number of FCCU students attended the seminar.
