It is an honor to share that Assistant Professor, Dr Hira Khalid who is serving Department of Chemistry; FCCU has successfully participated in 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany. She is the very first person who have participated in this prestigious meeting from Department of Chemistry, Forman Christian University Lahore. She interacted with nobel laureates in group discussions, presented her research and interacted with other young scientists for research collaboration in common areas of research.
The 67th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (#LiNo17) was dedicated to Chemistry. 28 Nobel Laureates met 420 international young scientists. She was among 420 young scientists who had selected across the world by Lindau Council through a tough competition and selection criteria. Dr Hira was selected among other three young scientists from Pakistan to attend this meeting in Lindau island Germany.
Dr Hira qualified as young panelist from the 420 young scientists to represent MARS INCORPORATION to conduct a successful discussion on the topic of Chemistry of Food: Flavor and Beyond with Dr Aaron Ciechanover, Nobel Laureate; Dr Thomas, Professor and Chairperson of Food Chemistry and Molecular Sensory Science, TUM and Dr Harold H Schmitz, Chief Scientific Officer Mars who were the panel members.
She was interviewed by National German TV channel Allgäu.tv- 29. June 2017 to share about her achievements and challenges faced to pursue her career in Chemistry and women’s education in Pakistan. Please click here for the clips of the interview
