On Monday, May 4th 2020, the Punjab Government distributed food aid packages to 100 FCCU employees. This exemplary gesture was a part of the Punjab Government’s initiative to distribute food bags to employees who are performing their duties in this challenging situation of COVID-19.
Provincial Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Fayyaz-Ul- Hassan Chohan addressed the gathered employees and thanked FCCU for giving the Punjab Government the opportunity to help FCCU’s staff during this pandemic. He also added that the Punjab Government has worked tirelessly to introduce a relief package for the employees in the month of Ramadan. He said that the whole world has been affected by COVD 19, including first world countries, and have experienced economic instability. Every country had taken the initiative of helping their communities. However Pakistan has become an example for the whole world as all of its people, regardless of their religion, have come together and have contributed generously in this difficult time.
Rector FCCU Dr. James A Tebbe also addressed the occasion and thanked Mr. Fayyaz-Ul- Hassan Chohan for taking out time from his busy schedule and coming to FCCU. He said that he was very pleased with the initiative taken by the Government of Punjab. He added that the faculty and staff of FCCU have also contributed and distributed 1 month’s ration pack to support staff and students.
The food packages were distributed in front of Sinclair Hall by Mr. Fayyaz-ul- Hassan Chohan and Rector FCCU Dr. James Tebbe. Also present at the occasion was Registrar FCCU, Brig Nayyer Fardows and Chief Security Officer, Col (R) Khaqan Mahmood.
