Lessons & Legacies of The Pandemic In Education: The Future of Research Trends, Pedagogical Approaches, and Leadership Challenges

The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) affected all aspects of life, economy, business, workplaces, education and the classroom. The COVID-19 pandemic proved to be a disruptive factor in our lives leading to re-organizing schools, classrooms and pedagogical practices of teachers and learning strategies of students. A whole new dimension of research emerged, and researchers expanded the focus of research from students in the classroom to students at home (students and their social and emotional wellbeing), teachers in schools to teachers at their new workplace (teaching online from home, a new workplace) and teaching tools (pedagogical technological tools and teaching and learning platforms). The discovery of the COVID-19 vaccine, firstly made it possible to resume face-to-face teaching and learning in schools and secondly, made teachers, educational administration and pedagogical tools and educational platform developers review their old practices and incorporate new ideas generated during the COVID-19 teaching and learning in post-COVID19 educational settings.

The conference aims to bring the scholars and practitioners to share their past and ongoing research covering issues, challenges and opportunities associated with online, hybrid, on-site and off-site teaching and learning; digital educational tools and platforms; and pertinent matters contributing to the effectiveness of classroom teaching, assessment, social-emotional well-being of teachers and students and other related areas.

This conference invites scholars and practitioners to share their past and ongoing research covering a wide range of issues, challenges and opportunities associated with online teaching and learning, digital educational tools and platforms and associated areas such as social-emotional wellbeing. The conference aims to produce a comprehensive document encompassing learning from the COVID-19 educational experiences and the way forward for all stakeholders of the educational processes. The presentations at the conference will also highlight the future of the workplace and remote teaching and learning, wellbeing and mental resilience, diversity and inclusion, digital transformation of educational experiences, and transformation of educational leadership practices.
