Department of Religious Studies arranges a talk on Contemporary Issues in Religious Education: Pedagogy, Curriculum, and Assessment on Wednesday 15 February 2017. Faculty of Religious Studies Department and some guests from Education Department attended this session. The guest speaker was Mr David Thompson, a specialist in Islam and Christian-Muslim relations for many years. After undergraduate work at Oxford, he worked in the northern Sudan, where his interest in Islam was kindled. He took this further in theological studies at Cambridge and in PhD research at Lancaster.
