The 19th Annual Faculty Retreat of Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), took place 5-9 Sep 2022,  as is the yearly practice before the Fall semester, with around 250+ university faculty members.  The event was conducted in a hybrid mode. The full day of  Sep 5 and workshops spread over the next 4 days were in-person, but the experts invited from different parts of the world to deliver the plenary address on themes of significance did so over Zoom.  The purposes of the event were to imbibe in our faculty a shared sense of purpose and commitment and to harness their collective power to achieve our strategic goals for instructional excellence.

Speakers from FCCU included Dr. Johnathan Addleton, Rector; Dr. Douglas Trimble, Vice Rector;  Dr. Gloria Calib, Associate Vice Rector; Dr. Kauser Abdullah Malik, Director ORIC, and Dr. Rukhsana Zia, Head Center for Learning and Teaching. Faculty and student voices were an important component of the event. Dr. Addleton, in his address, highlighted the various initiatives of the university toward improved faculty and student services, and quality assured governance which is a vital component of our efforts towards being accredited in the U.S.

The plenary speakers from outside FCCU included internationally renowned experts,  Dr. Erica Ekert, from Kent State University in Ohio, U.S.;  Dr. Aaron Benavot, from the State University of New York- Albany;  Dr. Arshad Ahmad Vice Chancellor of LUMS; Dr. Christopher Taylor, Vice President at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco and Dr. Shalendra Sharma, of Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
