Forman Christian College is committed to each student’s individual development and welfare. The University Counseling Center is a facility to help students deal with problems which they may not want to discuss with family, friends or their teachers. The Center provides individual and confidential counseling and may refer students to other professionals if needed. Please note that the UCC does not deal with issues related to academic advising but with personal and emotional issues that students face in their lives.
In addition to individual counseling, the UCC will hold a range of workshops dealing with problems/issues related to anxiety, anger, examination stress, procrastination, assertiveness, confidence and self-esteem, decision making, public speaking, etc.
Students can visit the Counseling Center directly and fill a Pre-Counseling Form. They can also be referred by faculty or staff who should fill a Counseling Referral Form. Copies of the form can also be found in the display rack in the reception area of the Mercy Health Center.
