The Mathematics Society was started in 2005 with the motto “Explore new horizons”. Its objectives are:

• to bring awareness among students about the future and scope of mathematics by arranging workshops and seminars
• to enhance students’ abilities in quantitative skills and to give them basic knowledge of the use of mathematics in daily life by arranging quizzes and lectures
• to work with other societies on campus to enhance cooperation and bring healthy changes in the campus
• to bring leadership qualities in students and to make them realize the importance of group work
• to build interest among students to choose Mathematics as their major subject.

Membership is open to all students regardless of whether they have Math as a major or minor.
