Pioneered teaching of both Entrepreneurship and Management Control Systems in Pakistan (1987); authored over 25 business cases in these areas; extensive management consulting experience with top Pakistani groups as well as high growth family firms on a wide variety of control, governance, and strategy issues; research in the management control and family firm development areas has been published in several refereed journals and conference proceedings in Europe and the USA; has been a Board Director at leading Pakistani corporate firms; corporate engineering and business development experience in Fortune 200 firms in the USA from 1979-1987. Institutional level policy development experience as founding faculty of the Graduate School of Business, LUMS.
Research interests: The Interplay of Theory and Practice in Growing Firms Operating in a Low-Trust Context; currently working on developing cost and control systems for one of Pakistan’s largest textile groups.
