BRIEF PROFILE

Dr. Ahmed has been an HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor since 2017 and has more than 20 years of teaching and research experience in various Pakistani Universities. Before joining as Professor of Economics in 2021, he served as Associate Professor (2010-2021) at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, Assistant Professor (2008-2010) and Lecturer (2005-2008) at Government College University, Faisalabad, and Lecturer (2003-2004) at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.

At FCC, Dr. Ahmed served as Associate Editor and Managing Editor of the Forman Journal of Economic Studies, Coordinator of MPhil Applied Economics Morning and Evening Programs, Coordinator of MPhil Admissions Committee Morning and Evening Programs, and Convener of Ph.D. Program Launching Committee. He supervised theses of M.Sc. Economics and MPhil Applied Economics students on various socioeconomic issues. He has published/presented articles in various international and national journals/conferences and worked as PI/Co-PI in research projects funded by national and international agencies.

Outside FCC, he served as a Member HEC National Curriculum Revision Committee, Reviewer of HEC Projects, Reviewer of several JCR impact factor international journals, Subject Expert in the Selection Boards, External Expert/Member in the Board of Studies, Paper Setter/Examiner, External Examiner of MPhil and Ph.D. theses. Dr. Ahmed has traveled abroad several times during his professional career to share his research with international scholars and get training from them.
