Teaching Interests: Organic chemistry, reaction mechanism, organic synthesis, NMR spectroscopy, natural products, and medicinal chemistry.

Research Interests: Natural products, extraction techniques, organic synthesis, antioxidant and pharmacological studies; diabetes, Alzheimer's disease, and obesity.

Research Projects:  Several projects based on natural products. PSF funded project: Phytochemical and biotechnology study on chemical constituents of Lagenaria siceraria. HEC funded project: Activity-guided isolation of bioactive compounds from medicinal plant Carissa opaca.

Currently, his research group is involved in the isolation and extraction of natural products from plants, synthesis of Schiff bases of natural compounds, antioxidant and anti-enzymatic activities of natural and synthetic compounds, natural remedies for diabetes and obesity.

Publications: He has published over 80 research papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals with over 1200 citations:
