Wajiha Raza Rizvi is a Fulbright, FCOSAS, Chevening, and GIMD Research Scholar trained in research and television production in USA, UK and Norway. Was awarded a scholarship under Foreign & Commonwealth Office Scholarship & Award Scheme to study television production techniques at North East Media Training Centre (European Media School) Tyne & Wear UK. Presented her research on Pakistani film in international conferences in Japan, UK, South Africa, and India. She specializes in film research and film production and has published on international war films, race, region and gender issues, and Pakistani cinema.

Has several years of experience in the area of English Language and Literature teaching conducts teacher training sessions at annual SPELT international conferences. Associated with a German organization Fur Die Freiheit. Published news articles and research articles in newspapers and magazines; carried out research in the areas of ‘Impact of Extensive Reading on Language Learning’ and ‘Post 9/11 American Absurdist Theatre.’ Conducted a survey on ‘What Pakistani youth thinks about Pakistan’s involvement in post 9/11 War on Terror’ and got it published in the German organization’s Annual report.
Research interests: Post-colonial literature, Post 9/11 Literature, Muslim Identity and English Language Skills.

Winner of 2nd Prize in Documentary Competition arranged by BARGAD with the collaboration of UNFPA and Punjab Government.

Works Design Studio and also worked as a design executive at Tetra Pak Pakistan Ltd.
International publications include book chapters titled: “Pakistani Media and Dis-
Empowerment of Women” and “Monologue of Power”. Has also published a chapter for the Journal of Human Rights Commission Pakistan.
Research interest: Media ecology and its cultural impact on media texts.

She is a media and communication professional with six years of experience in leading news organizations. She has worked at Pakistan Today, Dunya News, The Nation and fashion and lifestyle magazines. In addition, her work has appeared in the The News, Manager Today and State Journal Register (US).
Research interests: Interplay between journalism and different power houses.
