Sir,
I am absolutely anxious to meet some Formanites who ever met Prof. B.R.Saraf, my late teacher of English in Chandigarh. Nobody can forget him after meeting that Formanite as Prof. Saraf’s accent was enchanting and hypnotic. He was unquestionably the greatest F.C.College icon.
His accent could keep even Sir Manohar Lal spellbound. Every Formanite knows that Sir Manohar Lal never made any recommendation for anyone, not even for his son who worked in a middle level position. But he forced Punjab Govt to appoint Prof. B.R.Saraf a lecturer of English as once Saraf spoke everything stood still. He was not only the greatest maker of English prose in the twentieth century but also the most enchanting speaker of refined English.
In my opinion only the voices of two persons echoed, one was Prof. B.R.Saraf, and another was our incomparable and adorable singer, Mohammad Rafi.
Pl respond.
