Forman Christian College offers Merit Scholarships to the top three (3) position holders in any of the BsISE seeking admission with us. These scholarships are 100% fee waiver. The students still need to deposit the admission fee, securities, and the Lahore BISE exam fee.
In addition, Forman Christian College offers Merit Scholarships to those students securing the highest marks in their respective program as evidenced on the First Merit List. These marks must be higher than 85% in the Matriculation exam to become an eligible candidate for this Scholarship. These students will receive 75% fee waiver and will still need to deposit the admission fee, securities, and the Lahore BISE exam fee together with 25% of the tuition fee.
The number of scholarships in each area of study are listed as under:
Pre Engineering: 13
Pre Medical: 10
Computer Science: 5
General Science: 4
Total Scholarships: 37
The first preference for the Merit Scholarships will go to the position holders in the various BsISE applying to us followed by the highest marks as displayed on our merit lists. The scholarships are awarded to students whose names appear on the first merit list, upon the deposit of admission, security, and examination fees. If students on the first merit list do not show up for admission and seek a roll number by the deadline posted on the merit, their scholarship will be forfeited and offered to the next candidate(s) in line for that program. No appeals will be entertained by the college authorities in this regard.
Students applying in special categories are not eligible for the merit scholarship. Only candidates in the “OPEN MERIT” category will be considered.
The students receiving the scholarships must maintain:
- 75% or better attendance at ALL times in every class
- 80% or better scores on monthly tests and send-up and pre-board exams
- Good discipline record consistently
If at any time the student fails to meet any of the above criteria, the scholarship will be cancelled and the student will have to clear all the remaining tuition dues. No appeals to reinstate the scholarship will be permitted. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure that he maintains a healthy record as above.
The scholarship will continue into the second year based on the first year board results. The student must score equal to or better in first year compared with his Matriculation result to have his Merit scholarship continued for the next year. All of the above conditions will apply in the second year as well.
