SOM faculty is actively involved in consulting, research and case-writing. Regular consulting ensures that faculty is aware of latest practices in the market. It is also a reflection of the value that the market places on our faculty. Typically, faculty members consult for the corporate sector, family-owned businesses, the not-for-profit sector and the public sector.
Research and case-writing is the other dimension for faculty members to stay in touch with latest thinking in their fields. Cases are commonly used in our MBA program and many of these cases have been written by the faculty about local organizations.
There is also a strong commitment to academic and industry partnerships at the business school. The School has signed an MoU with the International Finance Corporation to develop material in the area of Corporate Governance. This has been consolidated by a recent agreement to work with the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance to offer training programs at the Executive Education Center of the School. SOM is also affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).
