Requirements for Major
A minimum of 48 credits to a maximum of 54 credits with 24 credits in upper division courses.
The core courses include
GEOG 210: Earth’s Physical Realms (3 credits)
GEOG 220: Human Domains of Geography (3 credits)
GEOG 274: Fundamentals of Cartography and Field Surveying
GEOG 301: Workshop on Geographical Thought and Concepts (2 credits)
GEOG 311: Principles of Atmospheric and Hydrospheric Dynamics (3 credits)
GEOG 313: Geodynamics and Geomorphology (3 credits)
GEOG 471: Qualitative and Quantitative Techniques in Geography (4 credits)
GEOG 499: Directed Project (6 credits)
Minimum seven (7) electives in the upper division from Physical Geography and Geographical Techniques and Methods
Requirements for Minor
A course work of 18-24 credits with at least nine (9) credits in lower division courses including core courses
GEOG 210: Earth’s Physical Realms (3 credits)
GEOG 220: Human Domains of Geography (3 credits)
GEOG 270: Maps and their Interpretation (3 credits)
and a minimum of two (2) electives in upper division courses.
