Job Description:

  • Assisting Director Annual Fund in applying best practices in cultivation and solicitation and to increase the number of donors supporting the annual fund
  • Develop and executing an effective volunteer program for annual giving
  • Making regular visits to alumni and friends of FCC
  • Helping in maintaining donors’ database and donors relation management

The Office of the Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) has an opening for the position of Director Evening Programs. This person will be responsible for all administrative matters related to the running and management of programs that are offered at Forman Christian College in the afternoon and evenings. He/She will work with:

  • buildings and works (for repairs)

Job Description:

  1. Will learn and understand the policies and procedures of the University prior to classes beginning in the fall.
  2. Will be a member of the Evening Program Committee, chaired by the Vice Rector and which will include but not be limited to the Dean of Postgraduate Studies with representation from Accounts and other Administration.
  3. Will work with Admissions to know the number of students that will be in each class.
  4. Will work with the Departments offering evening classes to ensure faculty are hired in a timely manner,which will be able to cater to the number of students. Additionally, there will be requirements for research resources and only the Departments can know which resources can be shared at a particular point in time.
  5. Will work with the Academic Office and the Departments for the assigning of classrooms.
  6. Will work with plant operations to ensure that buildings and classrooms are open and available with appropriate facilities for teaching. That backup power generation is available and sufficient staffing for cleanup and closing.
  7. Will be available during the time that classes are being taught in the afternoon and evenings to answer questions and to solve issues that arise.
  8. Will make suggestions for the improved running of the programs.
  9. As time allows, will undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Vice Rector that relate to the evening programs.

He/she shall be responsible for administering all financial assistance programs that are available to students of the University. He / she shall work with the Chief Fiscal Officer to make recommendations concerning recipients of students’ financial assistance. He/she shall be responsible for administering the programs in accordance with policies and budget of the College as well as for counseling students and their families regarding planning to meet College and University expenses. The primary duties of Director Financial Aid shall be as follows:

  • To be thoroughly familiar with all types of student aid available to students, including scholarships, fee concessions, grants-in-aid, and student employment.
  • To administer and coordinate all financial assistance programs available to the College students, including Higher Education Commission (HEC) programs and programs funded by other donors.
  • To inform students of opportunities for their financial assistance and to prepare and distribute materials describing available aid programs.
  • To process financial aid/fee concession applications.
  • To make awards of the funds in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Rector, and where applicable, the donors of the funds, including HEC and department of education (Punjab or Federal).
  • To keep all records necessary for the effective administration of the financial assistance program.
  • To notify students of actions taken on applications for financial assistance.
  • To handle correspondence regarding financial assistance.
  • To develop, review and revise, if necessary, office procedures necessary for efficient financial assistance administration.
  • To prepare reports requested by the CFO or by HEC or appropriate government agencies.
  • To make recommendations concerning policy for the administration of financial assistance to the CFO.
  • To estimate the financial needs of future students and to initiate and prepare recommendations for the College’s scholarship budget, and where appropriate, applications to secure funds adequate to meet these needs.
  • To counsel students on the matter of their financial problems.
  • To educate parents to ways of financing a College or University education for their children.
  • To be responsible for student employment such as making job assignments, subject to the approval of the job supervisor, for positions included in the student work program.
  • To perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the CFO.
