Situation Vacant: Communications Officer (posted 8 July)

The Communications & Publications Office of Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) requires a Communications Officer.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • web content management: creating, collating and maintaining content for the website
  • promoting the website and communicating with users
  • evaluating effectiveness of the website
  • creating, collating and designing print materials for the university
  • promoting and disseminating print materials
  • evaluating effectiveness of print materials

The Communications Officer will report to the Director Communications & Publications but will also liaise closely with the Information Technology Department.

Required Skills

  • Excellent English writing skills in various genres (reports, web posts, news articles, etc.)
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HTML and experience of content management systems (WordPress, etc.)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
  • Adobe Photoshop/graphics designing skills
