Eligibility and Qualification

  • Matriculation in science subjects
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience

Main Responsibilities

  • Dusting and cleaning of work space and maintaining general cleanliness of glassware and work benches
  • Distribution and collection of items to and from students during laboratory lessons
  • Washing, cleaning and drying of all kinds of glassware and apparatus
  • Switches off all appliances at the end of laboratory work
  • Performs related duties as and when required
  • Should report to duty 20 minutes before the commencement of the working day
  • Should be ready to undertake any training deemed necessary by the department/ administration (English proficiency courses, lab training courses)
  • He is expected to be respectful to students and faculty and physically sound and healthy
  • He is expected to perform any other duty assigned by the Chair

Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate under the Research Project No.5-9/PAS/1085/02-02-15, related to obesity research sponsored by the Pakistan Academy of Sciences.

Minimum qualification is MSc/BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences or equivalent (eg MBBS/MLT). The candidate should:

  • have at least two first divisions (one in MSc/BSc (Hons)) and no third division in the academic career.
  • be highly motivated and possess strong communication and team-working skills.
  • preferably has previous laboratory experience in biomedical sciences and molecular biology.

The selected candidate will be paid Rs 15,000 per month fixed.

The Accounts Office invites applications for Manager Purchase. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the local procurement of materials, tools, equipment and machinery for various requirements of FCC and record keeping of all the related documents in compliance to organizational requirements. He/ She will also manage the entire procurement process used for the purchase of goods and services, planning, pricing negotiation & buying. The Manger Purchase will report to Director Purchase.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Implement procurement strategy and policies.
  2. Lead the procurement group in all phases.
  3. Be involved in demand forecasting of items to ensure better planning and timely delivery
  4. Preparation of different purchase analysis to identify purchasing trends of the organization.
  5. To ensure appropriate documentation and maintain the record of all items purchased.
  6. Identifying, developing & maintaining local vendor base for obtaining timely procurement of materials at favorable terms to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
  7. To coordinate with Accounts Department for all billing process.
  8. Vendor management & periodic appraisal of the vendors.
  9. To supervise and monitor all the activities of local purchase/imports and relevant documentation.
  10. Provides long and short term strategic purchasing plans consistent with and supportive of company goals and objectives.
  11. To prepare monthly purchase report for evaluation by the end of every month.
  12. To negotiate with suppliers to deliver best value to FCC.
  13. Prepare and maintain information for use within FCC relating to procurement performance.
  14. Monitor and maintain data for market trends of price, availability of items particularly of items of purchase against cash payment.
  15. Review and approve the comparative price statements.
  16. To perform other duties and assignments as delegated by Management.
Minimum requirements:
  • CA (Intermediate) with articles completed MBA or equivalent essential, CA (Finalists) with certification in supply chain desirable
  • At least 2 years of experience in a managerial capacity, must have good analytical skills. Candidates with at least 4 years of experience in a managerial capacity and in developing SOP and processes, familiar with supply chain mechanisms will be preferred
