Senior Manager Alumni Affairs, Ms Amna Arshad and Manager Corporate Relations, Talha Fahim visited President Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr Abdul Basit on Thursday 16 March 2017 and invited him to FCCU on behalf of FCCU’s Rector, Dr James Tebbe. They also took with them a list of the students that had benefited from the LCCI funding which was highly appreciated as according to them, it was the first time a report had been shared on how their donation was being utilized. Being a Formanite himself, Mr Basit enjoyed discussing the Alumni members and the updates on FCCU. Mr Basit was a student at FCCU at the time when Dr James A Tebbe’s father was the Principal. Among the things discussed were entrepreneurship and its need in industry and collaborations FCCU can do with LCCI.
The group also discussed the a potential meeting between Mr Basit and Dr Tebbe to discuss industry – education collaboration.
Some of the things agreed upon are:
- Redoing an MoU with FCCU
- FCCU’s Alumni form to be circulated in LCCI’s newsletter to 20,000 LCCI members to connect any Formanites among them to their Alma Mater. This newsletter also goes to foreign embassies in Pakistan and Pakistani embassies abroad.
- FCCU’s Zakat message will also be published in LCCI’s newsletter.
